Alekhya and Colin’s intimate Denver wedding was ev👏ery👏thing👏 When I say that it was probably my favorite wedding ever, I’m not even lying. It was seriously so special and I’m still swooning over it. The intimacy of it all and the connection between everyone there was so special to see. Not only are Alekhya and Colin so obviously connected and in love, literally everyone there was connected in such a special way.

Both sets of parents formed such a beautiful connection with each other. The families loved each other so much, it was so special. Everyone was so happy to be together and coming together as one. Alekhya’s parents loved on their daughters so much. And, everyone loved on me so much! They treated me like family and even made me eat with them as part of their family.

Alekhya and Colin met at MIT, and if that doesn’t tell you they’re smart, I don’t know what would! Colin’s family is from Alaska. They’re true Alaskans, loving the outdoor adventure life that Alaska brings. Alekhya’s family is from the east coast. Her dad also went to MIT and her sister is in med school. Her family is so amazing and smart and full of love. Now I know where Alekhya and Colin got their love for adventure and hiking and their passion for each other!

This two-day affair started with an in-home celebration on day one. Alekhya’s sister did her mehndi. It was so cool to watch. Then, because her hands were painted, Colin fed Alekhya. How sweet is that?!

The second day was the ceremony. They got married in the Denver Courthouse, which was completely shut down so we had the whole place to ourselves. Their neighbor, who is a judge, married them. Then, we all went back to Alekhya and Colin’s new home, where we celebrated with dinner and dancing. It was just me, Alekhya and Colin, and their families. Alekhya’s mom designed the beautiful decor, all of which was ordered from local small restaurants.

As with so many other couples who celebrated their marriage with an intimate ceremony, Alekhya and Colin are planning a larger celebration for next year in Denver. I’m sure it’ll be just as beautiful and full of love as this one was!
