I‘m so happy to share this gorgeous couple and these whimsical, romantic engagement photos at Sutro Baths and Lands End! This is what makes my photography heart flutter! And, this is just the kind of happiness we need to see right now!

Shawn and Perla both work in the same field and run in the same friendship circles, but their paths never crossed until they met online. Talk about the power of the internet! These two have been going strong for two years now, but it didn’t come without some very interesting dates. (We’ll save those stories for Shawn and Perla haha!). Shawn knew he had something special in Perla when they were on a camping trip and their tent became infested with ticks. Yikes! I don’t know about you, but I believe you don’t really know someone until you have to overcome a little adversity together. And a tent full of ticks is definitely a little adversity!

These two wanted to stay true to what made them fall in love and that was the great outdoors. Surrounded by the things they enjoy together, like beautiful trees and the crashing waves of the ocean, it was a perfect fit to start their engagement session at San Francisco’s Lands End and finish up during sunset at Sutro Baths. Sutro Baths is located in the outer Richmond District, just a few miles out of the hustle and bustle of downtown San Francisco. As a Bay Area fine art film wedding photographer, Sutro Baths is the perfect backdrop for the romantic and classic look that my clients love.
