The couple wanted a weekend get away vibe for their Vermont wedding. In their spare time you can find them hiking some of the most amazing mountains, and their weekend drives to upstate New York was where things really blossomed. Spending time in his cabin, all the walks and exploring nature together meant that their love grew uninterrupted. Melissa and Stephen wanted the same feel for their wedding. They wanted their closest family and friends to make a weekend of it, couples to reconnect, do some hiking, and explore the landscape. These two got engaged surrounded by some of the most gorgeous landscape the US has to offer, so no surprise when they wanted to make their lifelong commitment together surrounded by the same beautiful nature.
Mad River Barn is surrounded by huge pine trees and rolling hills and a roaring river that you can hear throughout the whole property when the hustle and bustle of the day slows down. The wet weather in Waitsfield had everything in June lush and green. Melissa knew she wanted color in her wedding and chose gorgeous greens, rich berry and summer blush. These colors brought just the right amount of balance to the already amazing landscape. Married under the wedding arbor, guest were in for a treat as the two celebrated a traditional jewish ceremony with Stephen breaking the glass to solidify their new union. Melissa and Stephen wrapped up their night of dancing and mingling with their favorite people with a super fun sparkler exit. Check out this list of their amazing vendors!!
