Let’s be honest…for us families that have kids at a brick and mortar school, distance learning was NOT something we ever imagined ourselves doing. The stress of working/running our own businesses AND trying to educate our little ones at the same time has some of us making too many tipsy TikTok videos. Sending smoke signals or just hiding under the covers has become the new norm. Well, let me tell you mama…you are not alone. I’m here with my friend Laura James to share some awesome homeschooling tips with you!
I am so excited to share this week’s podcast episode with Laura James. Laura is a photographer and small business owner who homeschools her five kids. That’s right…five! She has been able to balance her children’s education and her businesses and still finds time for herself.
This experience may have you asking questions like….
How long did it take for you to find a routine?
What do I do if my kid is falling behind?
What does an average homeschool day look like?
Whether you jumped into this new role full force or you are still just dipping your toe in the water, this episode is for you. Laura will walk you through her experience, the good days and the bad, and share her secrets for keeping a realistic perspective. Wherever you are in the journey, Laura has some golden nuggets for you!
And, who knows, maybe these homeschooling tips will make you consider switching from distance learning to homeschooling all together!
Take a listen and send me your own suggestions, questions, whatever in the comments below!
