Chanel & Carlos’s Intimate Civil Ceremony

June 8, 2021

This past weekend these two tied the knot for real for real! But before we get to that, let’s take a look at their wedding round 1.

Okay let me explain. Chanel and Carlos took the first opportunity they could to officially become husband and wife. In their case that meant an intimate civil ceremony at the Stable Cafe in San Francisco in April 2021. Before we get into all this awesomeness, let’s talk a little about their journey.

Chanel & Carlos’s love story started like many other love stories: with long gazes at the shared office water cooler. Well, I might be exaggerating a bit but their love story did blossom at work. I always say work and church are awesome places to meet like minded people.

With a wedding planned over a year in advance, the couple learned they would be welcoming a second young Queen into the kingdom and decided to push their wedding back. Then with additional delays because of Covid, they decided they were not going to wait any longer. Now with a growing family, Chanel and Carlos knew they would seize the moment at the first opportunity they had to come together as a family.

Their civil ceremony at Stable Cafe was by no means a traditional civil ceremony. With guests in bedazzled face shields, these two sealed their union with a kiss under the beautiful tree shading Stable Cafe’s outdoor patio. Guests dined on traditional African food, a nod to Carlos’s African roots and danced the night away to Chanel’s favorite songs.

No two weddings are the same, and what each couple puts into their day can really make it stand out. The thing that I loved most about this day was the fact that they were married on a very special day, the same day that Chanel’s parents were married. April 9th will forever hold a special place in this family’s heart!

Check out the beautiful photos from their very special elopement!
