Bridget and Chad’s Romantic Garden Wedding

Bridget and Chad first met thanks to Bridget’s high school best friend. This best friend’s cousin was friends with Chad. Shortly after they met, they went on their first date to a concert. That’s my kind of date! They had a blast and hit it off right away.

Fast forward to five years later. Bridget and Chad were visiting Hawaii (Chad is Hawaiian) and enjoying a hike. In the middle of the hike, Chad got down on one knee and asked Bridget to be his wife. Of course she said yes! But, she was so surprised because she wasn’t expecting it to happen! She had been hopeful that it would happen at the five year mark, but Chad said it would be later. He definitely caught her by surprise by proposing at the five year mark!

Bridget and Chad had their wedding at Jardines de San Juan in the town of San Juan Bautista, California. Jardines de San Juan is a gorgeous event venue surrounded by gardens, flowers, and beauty. It was the perfect place for their intimate celebration!

One thing I love the most about weddings is when people incorporate some of their culture into the wedding. Since Chad is Hawaiian, there was no doubt they would incorporate some Hawaiian culture throughout the day. I love that Chad’s dad leid Chad and all of the groomsmen. It was so sweet! Hawaiian leis are a symbol of love, friendship, celebration, and honor. And, at weddings in particular, leis are given to symbolize the love the couple has for each other AND the love of everyone there to witness the event. So beautiful!
